Contract OT:  Tara Brown, MS, OTR/L graduated from Husson University in 2012 with a masters degree in occupational therapy and bachelor's degree in psychology. She resides in Norway with her husband Jacob and 1 year old son Finnegan. She has recently joined Honeybee Pediatric Therapy to provide after school and weekend services.

Contract OT/Lego Group Leader:  Erin Jackson, OTR/L earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Hartford in 2003.  Her clinical experience is based solely in pediatrics in a broad range of settings  including school systems, outpatient clinics, summer camps, Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Unit, Early Intervention, home care and farms utilizing hippotherapy as a treatment strategy.  She is a member of the Board of Directors at Bull Ring Belgians and Equine Therapy Center in Denmark.  Erin lives in Bridgton with her husband, two daughters, dogs and horses.

​Contract OT/Yoga Instructor:  Christine Trefethen, MOT, OTR/L is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine. She joined the team at Honeybee Pediatric Therapy in 2013. Her experience includes evaluating and treating children ages two through teens with a variety of diagnoses including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, genetic disorders, sensory processing dysfunction, vision deficits, and developmental delays. She has additional training in Sensory Integration, DIR Floortime, Handwriting Without Tears, and Vision Deficits in Children. Christine is also a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher. She has pursued additional training in utilizing yoga as a treatment modality for children with autism and special needs. In addition to working with children, Christine’s other passions include long distance cycling, cross country skiing, and knitting. Christine lives on an organic farm in western Maine with her husband and their two children. 




Contract OT:  Brittany Brown, MOT,  OTR/L, is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine. She first joined Honeybee Pediatric Therapy as a student in the Spring of 2014. She loved it so much that she returned and began working as an Occupational Therapist at Honeybee in 2015. Brittany has many years of experience working with children and adults of various ages, abilities and diagnoses. Before becoming an OT she worked as an Art Teacher. She enjoys making art in therapy whenever possible. She first fell in love with children with special needs as a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP), working in homes of children with Autism, Down Syndrome, CP and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has also worked with children as a camp counselor, daycare aide, substitute teacher and CRMA in group homes with adults.  Brittany lives with her significant other in Naples and is expecting their first child in June.



Owner/OT:  Melissa Wood, OTR/L is a 1990 graduate of the University of New England.  She has been treating children in outpatient, school and community settings since 1992.  In 2012 she decided to open Honeybee Pediatric Therapy to provide child and family friendly services in the Oxford Hills.  In addition to the training and experience she has in a wide variety of pediatric developmental disorders and medical diagnoses, Melissa also has specialized training in pediatric feeding, DIR Floortime, pediatric mental health and assistive technology. Melissa lives in the Oxford Hills with her two children, dog Scout and cat Miracle.
