What is a  pediatric  occupational therapist?

An occupational therapist is someone who specializes in working with individuals who are experiencing a condition that is limiting their ability to independently complete the tasks of every day living. In pediatrics, occupational therapists use their expertise to help children gain the functional skills they need for independence in play, learning, motor skill development, self care, and socialization in their home, school, and community environments.

COVID UPDATE

PLEASE NOTE:  During the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have re-opened the clinic with extra precautions--, including screening questions, temperature scan, hand sanitizer upon entry.  We have added an air purifier to the common area, decreased the number of children in the clinic, and sanitize after each treatment.  Group treatment is still on HOLD.  We continue to offer teletherapy for kids/family in quarantine as well as any family who want or need to access therapy via video calls.   Please contact the office at 207-739-2021 for more information.
